Maris Otter malt from the UK gives our Ceasar Rodney Ale its beautiful golden color. This malt has a uniquely rich flavor profile. Well balanced with Cascade hops, our ale has a creamy texture and a slightly nutty or biscuit taste with a mellow finish. A thick, rich, foamy head caps the rich golden body and leaves a Brussels lace in your glass.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a very dark golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mild, a bit of malts, light grains. Taste is malts, grains, grassy notes, some hops are present, refreshing. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a pretty good beer.

Had on tap at Brewers by the Bay
A: A clear golden color with a small white fizzy head. Not much retention and sporadic lacing.
S: Rather closed with some faint grassy/herbal hops and a little bit of sweetness.
T: Similar to the aroma, light citrus/grassy hop bite combined with some sweeter malt.
M: Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Drinks easy.
O: A decent blonde ale in a category where nothing usually strikes me as outstanding. Was very refreshing on the 90+ degree day I had it.

Appearance: Beautiful golden hue with a decent head. Lacing dissipates fairly quickly.
Smell: Not much on the nose. Faint aromas of sweet malt with hints of fruit.
Taste: A clean malt sweetness with some hop bitterness that balances quite well the slight citric notes.
Mouthfeel: Light carbonation with sweet malt and balanced hops lend itself to a creaminess that is enjoyable.
A refreshing beer that can sneak up on you at 7.5%.
