A:pours a deep ruby color in a snifter. Nearly no head but it was in a growler for a couple of days. light brown lacing.
S: aromas of molasses and sweet malts. very sweet bouquet.
T: tastes almost oak aged but i dont believe it is. Solid imperial stout but it seems as if something is missing. I think it needs more hops for the lingering taste that i expect from an imperial stout.
M: very crisp, but it feels like my palate wants more. Flavor is done once you swallow. But all of this could be from being in a growler for a couple of days.
D: I could only do about two of these in sitting, and I wish I had it from the brew pub itself and not two days afterwards. Nonetheless, it is very good and impressive, well worth the taste, and i hope they brew this again next time i am up in michigan.
Good job guys!
