Hopleaf Extra

Asked for a pint of Hopleaf at a cafe this afternoon and what should arrive but two 250ml bottles of this, its seeming big brother, Hopleaf Extra.

Pours a rich copper with a really nice fluffy, sticky white head. This is like regular Hopleaf on steroids, and I like it. More malt, more hops, more alcohol, more flavor!

Best beer I've had on Malta, though having been here for a week, I am wary of my taste buds, as they are yearning for a home-cooked meal and some serious German/Belgian/American beer. (Don't get me wrong, I would certainly come back to Malta. It is a relaxing island with a fascinating history. But as for the food, and most of the beer, well...)

Let's just say this was the best beer I've had in a week, and cheers to that!
