Sampled on-tap at the brewpub on March 20, 2010. I struggled with the classification of this beer. I went with Amber ale since that is in the beer name, but it may actually fit better as an American Strong Ale.
The beer pours a murky amber color with a white head. The aroma is very hoppy with some caramel malts. The flavor is great, with strong citrus (both orange and grapefruit) hops as well as piney hops. There is also some great caramel malt and medium bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. An excellent beer.
