Thanks to thirdeye11 for sending this growler my way!
A - Pours cloudy copper with a small off-white head. Lacing is pretty scant.
S - Fruity and slightly spicy hop character. Citrus and tropical fruits are dominant. Very intriguing.
T - Citrus hop notes up front give way to a more earthy character in the finish. Malt backbone is solid and balances the hops nicely. The Belgian influence is noticeable and creates a flavor profile that I can't quite put my finger on.
M - Medium-bodied with a clean finish. Carbonation is just slightly on the low side, but that's okay because it allows more room for the flavors to come out.
D - Very sessionable and quite enjoyable. If I'm ever in Ft. Worth, this will be one of my top beers to seek out. The blend of American and Belgian qualities make it very unique.

Sampled on tap at the brewpub on March 27, 2010. This is a recipe similar to The Covey's Horned Frog Pale Ale but is fermented with a Belgian yeast strain. The beer pours a hazy orange color with a white head. The aroma and flavor are very similar with lots of orange notes, Belgian yeast and some nice, spicy hops as well as other fruit. The bitterness is low to medium. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
