Crystal clear orange. Off white sticky head yields Belgian lace. The aroma is of understated Munich, with hints of light lovibond Caramunich and slight nutty malt. Super clean aromawise. Stately caramalt upfront is ensued by bready, agreeably grainy sweetness mid palate. Hints of dark toffee surface as it warms. Soft in hop bitterness, yet very well balanced. Thinnish in overall body. Needs a bit more heft in malt backbone, but this allows for easy quaffing. A touch over attenuated. Finishes gently toasty, with hints of buttery maltose sweetness. A well rounded, firmly malt driven Marzen, that's just a tad thin, and maybe TOO clean. Immaculately crafted.
