The Full Kimono is an Imperial Red Ale that is a collaboration with 23rd Street and Free State in Lawrence.
A - Poured a clear, copper color with a one-finger, tan head of bubbly foam. It left sticky, thin rings of lace on the glass.
S - It smelled of pine and citrus notes with a touch of maltiness.
T - This is a big hoppy red ale. Lots of bitterness with a strong pine presence. Some orange and mango citrus fruitiness. Burnt toast maltiness gives it the taste of a red ale.
M - It was crisp and sharp. A medium bodied ale with a dry finish.
O - This is really tasty. It blurs the line between imperial red and imperial IPA.
