From a growler purchased the previous day.
Pours very dark amber with a fleeting glance of a head.
The smell is of pumpkin and the usual spices - cinnamon, allspice, clove.
The taste is of pumpkin and the same spices as described above. It's certainly well-spiced. Real pumpkin flavor lies under all that spiciness, and becomes more pronounced as the drink progresses.
This is a well-made, nice pumpkin ale. The spices really stick out while retained a true pumpkin flavor.

this is their fall seasonal but was still on tap as of mid-january. i tried a sample, it tasted fresh and i really enjoyed it so home it came with me in a growler. pours a nice dark brown with reddish colour quite apparent throughout. a medium to small sized tan head tops this one off. smells just great. pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, etc. typical pumpkin ale stuff. the menu says this one uses actual pumpkins along with pumpkin pie speices in the brewing process (unlike many who just use the spices), and this was definitely apparent in the smell and taste. real pumpkins galore here. the taste was sweet and spicy and all around refreshing. medium bodied and a perfect carbonation level. this, along with the dfh punkin' ale, make for great alternative session brews as they are just so easy to drink.
