Thanks to my man, Zeke for picking this up...
Appears a thick black with a red hue and a small tan head.
Decent streaks of lacing left around the glass.
Smell is of chocolate malt with some roasted coffee beans and a cherry background, along with bitter cocoa and mild oaky notes.
Taste is of the described aromas listed above with the right amount of flavors coming through. Not cloyingly sweet.
Mouthfeel is smoothly warm and of mild roasty notes with the chocolate and cherry swirling around the palate

This is a brand spankin' new brew from the Tun folks. It's billed as a Chocolate Cherry Imperial Porter and is pretty good overall, but could use some tweaking here and there to make it a gem.
It pours a nice deep brown to black colour with a moderate off white, somewhat creamy, somewhat sticky head.
The aromas are a touch faint but I'd say malt and chocolate dominate here with no real hint of cherries just yet.
The flavour is more of the same but with the cherry flavour subtly breaking through during each sip. I was pleasantly surprised that the cherries didn't kick in and dominate the palate, as they often do when incorporated into a beer. There are hop hints here and there as well. My only concern is that the alcohol flavour tends to bleed through a bit to much at times, taking away from the other flavours in the brew. It also provides for a bit of an unnecessary burning/warmth at times in the mouthfeel, which is otherwise nice and smooth.
This is a nice dessert beer that I'll try again this season, but it's not something that I'd go back to over and over. If the alcohol issue was tweaked a bit, maybe that wouldn't be the case. This is certainly a good brew overall and worth a try if your in the area anytime soon.
