This beer aims at a traditional Bavarian hefe-weizen - and hits the mark. It's fermented with a Bavarian weizen strain from an inital gravity of 12.5 degrees Plato, giving 4.8% alcohol by volume with a mild 8 IBU's. Slightly dark in color with a brownish tint. Nice white foam cap that could hold better. The aroma is mainly light banana, backed by a very gentle fruit and spice. The body is light but somewhat creamy. The flavor starts slightly fruity, leading into a good maltiness with some caramel characteristics, and ending gently with a touch of banana and a subtle dry spiciness. A very nice summer quencher. One of the best from the Tun!
