This is a nice thick well carbonated stout. The malt reminds me of a dark coffee that masks out the rich hop flavor that it has. This stout, like most stouts, is pure black in color with a nice thick tan head that lasts a good bit. This is not a bad stout but reminds me of drinking a think coffee. ABV 4.59% IBU 13.20

Appearance - Pours out a nice black with some head initially that disappears fast. No real lacing left over.
Smell - Very chocolaty with a good, strong cherry scent to it. Some burned notes, but mostly like a fine chocolate.
Taste - I really enjoyed this one. Smooth and has a good stout base, but very strong chocolate with lots of cherry mixed within. This will not be for everyone, because the cherry flavor may be too much for some, but I felt it was a very nice balance and a new, interesting mix.
Mouthfeel - Low carbonation, with not a lot of the thickness you'd expect from a Stout. More watery than milky, but not bad.
Drinkability - I had three of these in one sitting. At only 4.6%, this one can be enjoyed a lot throughout the evening. Although, the sweetness may catch up with some who do not like that as much.
Overall - I am thankful to Jaysus for the heads-up on this limited run. I truly enjoyed it. If you come to HBG and it is on tap there, be sure to grab one. Very nice offering from ABC!
