A snifter glass served at the Camp Hill location.
A: The kriek is a dark and mysterious brown color, looking like a glass of muddy creek water. There is no head atop this ale.
S: The nose is sour cherry, not tart, just sour like the natural cherry flavors that you'd find in a non-maraschino cherry.
T: Unlike the framboise, this beer seems to forsake the tartness angle. The cherry flavors are unrefined, lacking the sweetness that you'd expect from a Lindeman's lambic. The flavors are far more natural, having a dry tart flavor that lacks sourness and sweetness. This one does not excite me as much as the framboise.
M: The mouthfeel is funky natural cherry, lacking the tart bells and whistles that you'd expect.
D: This beer lacks the oomph of the framboise. The natural cherry flavors are a redeeming factor but nothing to get too jazzed up about.
