On cask at ABC Camp Hill on 3/6/09.
A - Poured a hazy deep amber body with one-finger cap of frothy off-white foam that settled to a quarter inch of retention and left tons of exotic-looking sticky lace around the glass.
S - Lots of caramel and toasted grains paired with a mild potpourri of subtle spices as well as floral and citrus notes.
T - Decent amount of hops for an amber ale. Hops are supported by a thick, sweet caramel base and an underlying grainy malt character. Finish is slightly bitter with floral hops and a splash of citrus.
M - Medium bodied with a syrupy texture and very soft, round mouthfeel. While it is sweet on the palate, there is enough residual hop bitterness to even things out a bit.
D - Cask seems to be the way to go with ABC's brews. I found this to be a very solid amber ale with a pleasant hop profile.
