Review from notes taken on 5/13/10.

Served on cask at the Camp Hill location. Pours a cloudy brownish red color with a thick red stained head that has amazing powers of retension. Nose is a big oaky mess that smells like a vanilla wood mixture that collided head first into a ludin's cherry cough drop truck. The aroma has a back end sweetness that is quite filled with berries and is enjoyable but it clashes with the other woodsy character. Taste is puckeringly tart, a bit of sourness with the cough-drop type of berry sweetness. Light to medium light feel with a light level of carbonation. The sourness lingers with a suggestion of vinegar in both aroma and taste. Overall not too bad. The oaked part is significantly more pronounced than the last time I had this on tap. Slight touch of alcohol in the finish with an interesting bitter/sourness combo that is appealing.
