Part of the new Double IPA Single Hop Series...
Pours a bright gold with disappointingly thin cap of white bubbles, leaving some light sticky lacing. Scent is dominated by the hop here... Lots of spice and herbal qualities. Malt base is pale and stays in the background. Taste follows scent profile with lots of big bitter herbal and spicy notes, a splash of floral and resin, no citrus to be found. Quite unique to taste this hop isolated in a beer. Medium to lighter side of medium in body, oily. My least favorite of the series, the big herbal and spicy notes don't play well with the lighter malt profile. The goal was to showcase the hop, which they did, but not the best choice for a stand alone.
