I had this on tap at the Harrisburg location part of the Back in Black sampler -serve chilled in a goblet.
The color is appropriately black and opaque with a thin sandstone head with tight bead. The smell is mainly fruity with slight dark coffee and gentle citrus with a light alcohol ester. The feel is very good with nice balance of malt with moderate bitterness and low sweetness with mild roasted finish.
The taste is very good with a mild citrus hop flavor combined with toasted malt and slight smokiness from the black malt with a gentle woody element and light toffee with a nice fruity hop accent which balances the dark maltiness which is very lightly sweet. This is a good example of the style, better than I expected - I think it is a solid beer with nice hop flavor -listed as 88 ibus
