This brew appeared hazy brown with a thin white head. The smell was very strong and pleasant. Smelled of molasses, bready malts, earth tones, and something roasted, perhaps caramel. The taste was simple, strong and toasty, pretty good. The mouthfeel was pretty watery unfortunately, but was the only real weakness of the beer. Overall it is a good release by ABC, granted I am a fan of doppelbocks so I might be a bit biased.
