Light gold color. VERY large creamy head. The pour looked like a blond Guinness. Aroma is a touch citrusy and fruity. My nose made a huge dent in the foam while testing for aroma. A very creamy, medium bodied IPA. Fruity and a touch sour. Malts are fruity with a touch of banana. Hops are spicy and floral. Sort of understated for an IPA. Very creamy. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter with a touch of banana about halfway through.

Judged at the 2003 Lucky Baldwin's IPA Festival (Blind Sample)
One of the few nitro poured IPA's at the Festival.
Beer pours dark yellow with a tight dense white head due to the nitro pour. Aroma takes a long time to punch through the effects of the nitro, but the primary character is of pine resin and a raspy hop oil.
Body is dense and rich with a slight corny malt and a soft finish with a light hoppy note with a final touch of peppermint.
While the body would be more lacking without the Nitro, the aroma would be more pronounced than the nitro allows it to be.
