They describe this as a Belgian Golden Ale brewed with persimmons and lime zest. Pours a clear yellow gold in the tulip with a modest but persistent white foam. Quite zingy on the tongue. Rather hoppy after some sipping. I'm always hoping for more persimmon flavor, but the lime comes through with lots of aromatics and not much bitterness. More tangy than sweet and the malt is not obtrusive.
There is not much of the yeasty taste, though it dries out for the finish. This is not really much like any sort of golden Belgian beer, but it's a great pale brew that's not very strong and would be a great quaff. A "session Golden Ale!" On tap at Pizza Port in Ocean Beach, and brewed there by Vince Marsaglia, according to the bartender.
