Pizza Port Carlsbad - lunch and a TIPA.
Pours a clear golden with a finger + of creamy white head - active bubble up the glass.
Aroma hoppy citrus, pine - some bready malt - a bit more distinct as warmed.
Taste much more pine forward from outset - blast of grapefruit, grapefruit rind - moderate bitterness with a malty sweetness behind; some pineapple, orange the pleasant bitterness returns on the swallow.
Medium full mouthfeel - well carbonated - slightly sticky sweet, with bitterness sitting briefly on the palate.
