On tap at Pizza Port in Carlsbad, CA.
Pours a clear light yellow with a foamy white head that settles to a thin cap on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, and some grassy aromas. Taste is much the same with a mild hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer but nothing all that exciting.

A: Pale golden color with a thin white head.
S: Not a ton here. A slight breadiness and some hints of stonefruit and pear.
T: Grain and a little too much malt breadiness for my taste. It's pretty light and I wouldn't say it's undrinkable, it's just not that great.

On tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad.
A: Very light gold, sort of like a 1:1 mixture of water and apple juice. The small white head is gone in the blink of an eye.
S: Apple and a grain with evident sulfur. There's a little pear. Simple but nice.
T: Malt is grainy and biscuity but there's only a little sweetness. Notes of apple blend with pear. Bitterness is low.
M: Light body with upper moderate carbonation.
Overall: Simple but well crafted, refreshing, and highly drinkable.

A: poured a translucent golden yellow with pale yellow higlights and had a half finger of head leaving some good lacing sticking to the glass.
S: I definitely was able to smell the cream character alongside varoius grains, mild citrus, and that was about it.
T: The varous grains flavors were more apparenton the palate but had citrusy cream accents and more sweetness from the malts.
M: The brew was light in body with a moderate amount of carbonation which had a cream, sweet, malty, and thin finish.
D: it was very easy to drink and very sessionable but was also thin and low on the flavor as well.

On tap at Downtown Johnny Brown's, San Diego, CA on 7/9/09.
A - Pristine clear golden body with moderate amount of tiny carbonation bubbles and creamy white head that settled to a quarter inch of retention and yielded thin strands of intricate lacing around the glass.
S - Very subtle nose with hints of sweet malts, some corn and light toasted grains. There is also a slight floral hop presence, but very scant at best.
T - Sweet corn and caramel malt up front, with a heap of toasted grains in the middle. Subtle floral hops and a mild grassy character emerge in the backend. Finishes with a slight husky, grainy finish.
M - Light to medium bodied with a light syrupy texture and moderate carbonation. Very sweet on the palate.
D - This is an easy drinking session beer, albeit a fairly ho-hum style overall. Not as good as Selin's Grove's cream ale, though. However, this was a good beer to start off the day.

I was very disappointed with this beer, it had absolutely no distinctions from any other beer I've had... granted, I am not really a fan of dry, hop finishing beers, so it wasn't really my type, but nothing made this one stand out for me. Maybe I was just in the mood for something else.

believe it or not, i don't like beer... yet there are a few that i am able to more than tolerate. this is one of them.
appearance - pale amber, honey, cream, thin head, light lacing
smell - nutty, budweiser, smidgen of hops
taste - very nutty, i like nutty
mouthfeel - warm, heavier than expected, slight bitterness
drinkability - creamy flavor enhanced by pizza, very drinkable considering how little i like/drink beer.

App: Sits nicely, clear and golden, underneat a short lived head. It does supply some lacing, but that is short lived too.
Smell: Honey, light malt and no hops. Smells yummy.
Taste: Bready and nutty, giving it an ample backbone for the honey sweetness. It reminds me of honey-bunches of oats, with the slightest hop aftertaste (saaz maybe?)
Mouthfeel: Very little bitterness, but it's still there. It's crisp as well, a little too crisp actually, to the point of seeming watered down.
Drinkability: It's easy to drink fast, but the watery nature keeps me from going back for more. Overall, it's very drinkable, and I try it whenever it's available.

On tap at Port Carlsblad. Another required component of a big lineup of 39 taps, though not needed, it's a transition beer. Bit of lace, expected a good head but not so. Not too creamy although mouthfeel was fine, and in fact was not too different than their Mexican lager.
