With a clear amber color, it has light, very floral hops with some pine along with some light cereal malts. There is also an astringent metallic and stale tinge throughout the tasting. This is like trying out Hoppske from Acoustic Ales, except the overall flavor doesn’t meld together well. At least the aftertaste is done right, albeit haphazardly put together!

On tap at Pizza Port San Clemente. The classic orangey dark amber in the pint shaker. A modest little head but ample carbonation in the mouth.
Quite a nice mouthful of malt with some sweetness. Then the scratchy hop resiny flavors with a bitter aftertaste. The sweet grainy taste is interesingly balanced by the hoppy, twiggy, green tea bitterness.

On tap at the Promenade Beer & Wine Festival in Long Beach, CA.
Described as being brewed with Cascade fresh hops.
Pours a hazy golden-orange with a foamy beige head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, caramel, and earth aromas. Taste is much the same with grain, earth, and herbal hop flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a nice grain and herbal hop mix in the taste.
Serving type: on tap.
