Labeled a Hoppy wheat with fresh Equinox Hops
A: Light honey gold body with just the slightest wisp of hop haze to it. Half finger width of ivory white suds comes to rest over top. Lightly effervescent with some mild ribbons of lace decorating the glass.
S: Smells floral and a bit earthy with some mild spice mixed in. Some undercurrents of tangerine and lime peel with a light dusting of dank herbs. Not getting much malt or any of the wheatiness really. Lacks some pungency but picking up much of the Equinox qualities which are fairly nice.
T: The malt takes more of the forefront in flavor with a doughy bread and caramelized biscuit taste. Not distinctly wheat based here or grainy which I like. I get lots of lemon-lime hop character melding with sprigs of fresh herbs and a danky spice note. The beer has a lower moderate bitterness to it and is not all that resinous with the alcohol completely hidden. That said this has a nice light crispness to it that is pretty refreshing and easy to drink.
M: Very light to moderate light body with some lively carbonation making for a nice sprtizy feel on the palate. Lower overall bitterness. Nice drying crisp at the finish. Very clean.
D: While not a game changer Giggity still offers a very nice drink that is easily crushed. Light and crisp with a nice balance to it, good hop flavors, and not much else to have to think about. I might still be a bit on the fence with Equinox hops in general but I enjoyed this one for sure.
