Consumed on draft at Pizza Port San Clemente on November 21st, 2015.
Beer is a nearly-clear dark gold with a white head under a finger tall. Head soon becomes splotchy crown with excellent sheeting.
Aroma is very subtle - candied tropical fruit.
Flavor is a hop riot; slightly sweet upfront with floral and tropical fruit notes (pineapple, mango, guava). Any trace of malt is buried under the hops as they segue from fruit salad to a bitter, piney finish.
Mouthfeel is slightly thick and maybe a touch undercarbonated.
A whole pint of this may be enough beer for me today!
