Thanks to whoever brought this to the 2016 Eclipse party.
Pours black, 1/3" brown head. Looks strong. Big boozy oaky bourbon aroma, this kind of reminded me of Churchill's Last Stand.
Taste imparts all the standard aspects of a bourbon barrel double digit abv imperial stout. Roasted malt, bourbon, oak, vanilla. True to its namesake, its strong. But its not just sledgehammer brute strength, its like everything is pretty well balanced, even though pretty much every aspect of the beer is strong. I guess the vanilla and the smoke characteristics are slightly lower than the other aspects you can taste.
Carbonation is good. Definitely seems like the kind of beer that you want to share with the peeps. Its big, but not too big to where its still a good beer that wouldn't necessarily be improved by lightening it up. I wouldn't say it does anything different than dozens of barrel aged stouts out there, but I also wouldn't say it does anything wrong or bad, its just another good reliable Pizza Port beer.

Had on draft at Toronado in SD.
Poured a pitch black with a very thin white head. Glass was filled to the top so it might have had more head but the bartenders made it a full pour, Thanks!
Lots of smokey, roasted wood. Smells a little boozy, but I feel like all of Port's bigger stouts smell this way.
Taste is ok. Not picking up much character or mellowing from the barrel aging. Pretty strong malts and just a little too much booze. Doesn't seem to be very balanced.
