Full Pint
A: Goldenrod body with a lightly burnished look. Brilliant clarity to this one. Vibrant with bubbly action that blossoms into a fluffy white cloud of foam up above. Decent hang to it with some broken tracks and streaks of lace running down the glass.
S: The nose is danky and floral with some light grapefruit presence. There are some additional citrus notes at play as well. Tangerine mostly. Sugary I would say with a dose of caramel malt and baked crackers on the backend. Not very pungent but what is offered is nice and welcoming.
T: Flavor delivers much of that same hop combo with a little more tropical flare mixed in. Dank herbs meet with tangerine, grapefruit, and some floral qualities there. Has me thinking Mosaics but they don’t seem incredibly potent. More of a restrained approach here. This one has a moderate amount of actual perceived bitterness to it and the malt plays a nice back drop of dry cracker while supplying a dash of caramel malt sweetness to the brew. Tasty stuff here and quite crushable. Has some real nice hop flavors but kind of tame for me coming after so many great Pizza Port IPA’s before it.
M: Moderate light body with a nice spritzy carb feel. Frothy and light with some mild bitterness and a nice drying finish. Crisp and clean mostly with only a small amount of residual linger.
D: Another tasty IPA with some nice tropical and citrus hop flavors. Somewhat mild with the hops overall but with great balance comes great drinkability.
