This beer was served on tap at Pizza Port in San Clemente on 10/2/04. The beer pours with a golden to orange color with very little head retained on the beer. Only a slight laciness is left.

The aroma is disappointing because it fails to show up to the party. There is essentially no aroma to speak of. The flavor is very interesting. It is a spicy acidic maltiness and at first the beer feels very thin in the mouth. But there is a slight oilyness to the beer that gives it the feel of a thicker texture. No hops to speak of in this case but it is not a bad beer. This beer earns high marks for the mouthfeel from me because it has an interesting and complex texture.

Draught @ Pizza Port Carlsbad
The beer pours the traditional Pilsner crystal clear gold with a large white head that is semi-creamy in texture, the lace a white sheet to cover the glass. Nose is the prototypical sweet malt that is fresh and clean, start is sweet and malt laden, the top is fair to middling in its feel to the palate. Finish has a nice crisp acidity and the hops apropos to the style, a nice drinking beer that prepared my palate for another day of “Bad Boy Hop Monsters”!
