Brewery says this is brewed with Rakau, Waimea, Dr. Rudi, and Polaris hops. Clear orangey amber in the half pint with decent foam. Sharp and resiny at first taste.
This is a chemistry experiment using hops. An intense fruity, bitter, woody, and vegetable tasting concoction. Any one of these hops might be delicious, but all stewed together it's like a nest of baby owls all whining horribly in different keys.
The aromatic finish, the long nose of hop fantasia, though, is the payoff. Then you get this bitter endless aftertaste. Tasted on tap at Pizza Port in Ocean Beach.
