Brewed with raspberries at San Clemente brewery. From the 32 oz growler filled yesterday at Pizza Port OB. Beautiful sudsy and dark golden beer in the Delirium Tremens snifter. Sprightly mouthfeel with a sharp fruity edge. Berries and booze in the nose.
The flavor is more like peaches, but pickled in alcohol. Moderately sweet, but it balances the tart fruit. Yeast gives it a dry finish, but not a lot of yeasty flavor. Still it's unmistakably Belgian inspired. A little acidic but tangy in a nice way. A great strong beer that is tastier and more drinkable than the average Tripel.
