Pretty sure the picture of this is at the Bressi Ranch location when I was there. 1st review of this beer on BA.
Pours a rich amber color, 1/2 off white head. Almost anyone else, I might have a little bit of concern, but its Pizza Port. They're elite tier OG hop guys. The aroma slaps as the kids say. Nelson, Mosaic and Citra, this is the triple crown of dry hopping. Citra and Mosaic is pretty much ubiquitous at this point, but the Nelson pushes itself as truly the dankest.
Taste does have a bit of caramel and crystal malt to compete with the hops. Still really good. Just a less malty, more crisp, lighter body would have been super nice here and 1st tier banger. Such a bummer to line up the dankest hops, only to cover up the sweet citrus notes with a bunch of crystal malt.
A previous version of this beer had Huell Melon instead of Nelson hops. Also I believe this is 7%. Would definitely get another pour of it next time I'm crushing their awesome pizza.
