Got ine of these from Pizza Port C-Bad.
Poured a dark reddish brown.
No head at all.
Very sweet malt flavor, tastes of rich malt and raisins.
Very thick texture, fills the gut.
Very low hop character, low carbonation.
I enjoy this dopplebock, it was very nice.
Had a full rich malt flavor wit ha little bit of fruitiness.
Great lager for the winter months.
Cheers!

I had this beer at Pizza Port in Carlsbad on 10/2/04. It is served witha nice reddish brown color and almost no head on it. It is crisp with malt aromas and a scent of alcohol. The taste is sour with diacetyl and esters with a matly ending. It has a medium bodied feel to it as well. It is ok but not really a daily drinker.

Dark amber color. Small head. Aroma is malty and sweet. A full-bodied dopplebock. Malts are very sweet, very malty and fruity. A slight hop dryness. The malts really dominate this beer. VERY Smooth. There are touch of brown sugar, molasses and cherries. The only trace of alcohol (8%) comes from the a touch of oiliness in the finish. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Finish is slightly bitter.
