Lost this rating from last year. Tap @ Solana. Pours clear gold with a short white head. Fresh aroma of pine, grass, and rye. Sharper tasitng than the aroma let on. Good amount of resiny and peppery hops and the dryness of rye. There was some sort of strawberry-like tartness that came through with the malt. Light feel with a lot of taste.

On cask
A: Surprisingly light, sort of the color of actual wheat. Clean and filtered but still. Gorgeous creamy buttermilk colored head
S: Overall fruity; citrus, pear, lemon
T: Flat out honeydew melon with spurts of lemon. Hints of peach, passion fruit and mango with some minimal pine. Very light barnyard bitterness. Finishes with a honey roundness.
M: Medium body and creamy.
D: I had a very disappointing day at Solano beach...it was the worst beer lineup I could have imagined. This was my bright spot. Very much enjoyable.

Late May 2006- Via the tap at Pizza Port in Solana Beach, CA.
Presentation- Via the tap into two sets of samplers.
Appearance- Deep golden, thin white head and specks of lacing.
Smell- Hops and malt share and equal scent. Roasted malt and floral and herbal hops.
Taste- Funny how taste and smell can't be so similar...can't say much more than see above.
Mouthfeel- Not sure of the abv, but seems to be fuller and more rich than a typical APA. On cask, so low carbonation here.
Drinkability- Quite good and worth trying if seen. Hope to visit this one again.
