I am almost positive this is living under the assumed name of "Doc Mason's RyePA" at Solana Beach. Pours a cloudy auburn with a tiny head that fizzles into an oily top. Decent lacing. Aroma is rye, caramel malt, and hops. Nice hop bite up front with a smoother rye and caramel back. Acidic and alcoholic finish.

On-tap at O'Brien's yesterday served in a pint glass, nice gold ale with a white creamy head over an inch thick. The head lasted throughout and yielded thick, sticky lace as I drank. There was a 1/2 of creamy white head after the liquid was gone.

On the nose was some sharp piney hops just waiting to jump out at you, with a mellow rye aroma, waivering in the end. A rather interesting smell of a brew.

Sweet of citrus, more tangy really, with some rye in the middle that gets overtaken by sharp, piney hops right down to the bitter end. Nice balance till the hop blast about half way through. A very crisp, bitter hop of a finish.

Not to sure about the alcohol content, it was masked very well. The body was light to medium with a creamy soothing mouthfeel. An easy drinker that I hope to have again soon. PP rocks!

This beer pours a golden yellow. It has a thin white head. The head fades fast, leaving many laces.

This beer has a mild grassy hop aroma. It also smells slightly malty. This beer also has a slightly spicy aroma. It smells slightly citrusy.

This beer tastes a little sour. It has a grainy flavor also. It tastes of grassy hops.

This beer goes down smooth, leaving a grassy aftertaste. It is quite crisp and very refreshing to drink.

I think this beer would make a great session beer. It is easy to drink, and I believe it is low in alcohol. I will have it again.
