Pours a dark gold with a medium head, decent retention, and decent lacing. grapefruit aroma is dominant. I could just have well cut open a fresh grapefruit and stuck my nose in it. Smells earthy and piny with a minimal sugary malt aroma. The flavor is commanded by hop bitterness. It tastes of grapefruit and has the smallest malt backbone with some yeastiness. The beer is a very bitter and at the highest end of the alcohol spectrum the alcohol is present. There's a nice long bitter finish that leaves me licking my lips in anticipation of the next sip. The carbonation is great.

Pours clear gold with a short white head. Herbal, grassy hops with a bit of metal. Spicy, peppery and resin hop flavors with some biscuit maltiness. More earthy, bitter, and resiny than the sweeter citrus variety. Nice change of pace for a Pizza Port IPA.

A-Slighty hazy golden hued amber with a thin off-white head that left spotty lacing.

S-Sweet caramel malt in the forefront with a kick of citrus and pine hops in the back.

T-Foward on the malt with this one. Sweet caramel followed with a backing citrus/pine hop kick. This is much like Cat's Away but in reverse...malt first then hops here, as opposed to HOPS then malt.

M-Medium body and slightly sticky. Nice smoothness though.

D-A good brew for sure....most places would kill to have an IPA this good....but not for me here in SO CAL. I am all for the hops first so this one will have to take a back seat to the hop monsters of the world!
