Had this in the past and surprised I hadn’t reviewed it. Bought a 6-pack of 12oz cans to-go from Solana Beach canned on 1/31/25. A nice light lager with good cereals and some barny funky character. A good American take on a Czech Pils but nothing mind blowing. Consistent and tasty.

exceptional pils here, high quality ingredients, nice lagering, crisp and patient beer thats also fresh and flavorful, a neat find in our travels and something quite special i reckon, very well made, drinkable, and distinctive in a couple of ways. light golden, gorgeous clarity and high shine, and an airy white head that looks like it belongs more on a bottle conditioned belgian beer than on a lager like this, very attractive and refined looking. the aroma is biscuity from the grain, a full character pils malt, could be floor malted, crackery and fresh, european and mineral forward, and its an awesome foundation overall, combined with good water chemistry, and the taste is pleasantly grainy the whole way, a tad sweet up front, drier and earthy on the back end, familiar but distinctive at the same time, really nice. the hops are cool too, they use saaz and grungeist in this, which im not sure ive known before. definitely noble character with green grass, zested lime, green tea herbaceous character, and enough bitterness, in this instance its incredibly fresh, and there is a verdant lush aspect as well, lime mousse, aloe, lemon verbena, honeydew rind, delicious and quite original. the balance is awesome, the bitterness is consistent but restrained, and the yeast is old worldy, clean, and unifying, amazing simplicity and drinkability but this is really well crafted and loaded with nuance. i like the hop profile a lot, i like how dry it is, impressive in overall quality and something i hope to get the chance to drink again. bravo!

Can’t say that this one slays like Santa after a few peppermint schanapps. Nope. Wouldn’t call it a humdinger either. To your boy Raul, it’s like a lite Czech Pilsner. And who wants that? Maybe the New Zealanders that fell asleep after one stein of beer while on this Munich beer crawl I went on in 2007…
Away we go.

Things are feeling more crispy. But it won’t go for gold.

Clear golden brew with plenty of foam in the He'Brew Jewbelation glass. Aroma of cut grass and bread. Pleasant biscuity taste with cereal notes and resiny hops. Just slightly bitter for a tasty hoppy Lager sensation. Crisp and light bodied with a tangy finish. This is an elegant and flavorful light brew. From the 16 oz can purchased at the San Clemente brewpub.
