Had this at the Bistro's Double IPA festival on February 8, 2020.
Had the golden and brass color going for it and 3/4" white head. Looked good, respectable clarity. Aroma was like, devoid, completely devoid, nothing bad or good going on, just nothing I could smell.
Taste came back around and dropped the way older school than expected combo of forest and grapefruit. Solid bitterness, but not grating. Interestingly, the only flavors coming through were the oldest of the old. Which is cool, they brought a beer of yesterday. I mean, it was still enjoyable with that old school grapefruit and tree combo fit with 60ibu level bitterness. Finished clean, at no time were there any off flavors. Carbonation done well, 15 psi stuff I think. Slightest back end hint at a mild sweetness. Hid the alcohol very well. Nonetheless, this finished just ok. What a weird festival, a lot of the usual heavy hitters kind of regressed. This was a decent beer, but below average for Pizza Port.
