Pours dark brown with a thick, long-lasting, creamy off-white head. Thick lacing. Fresh ground coffee aroma, sign says its Sumatran. Malted chocolate milkshake also in the nose. Kind of a watery mouthfeel after you break through the head. Bitter roasted coffee flavor balanced against a milk chocolate/cocoa malt taste. Neither gains the upper hand. Caramel and espresso flavors pop up from time to time, but again, neither tip the beer into overly sweet or bitter. Just a solid offering.
