On-tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad
A: The pour is a very pale yellow/straw color with a small layer of white foam forming on top.
S: A nice citrus aroma comes through giving off lemon peel, oranges, and a hint of grapefruit. Not much room for malt or sweetness in such a highly hopped, low gravity beer.
T: The flavor is nicely bitter with a resinous pine bite and some softer citrus notes. Again, not much maltiness, but not quite as much citrus flavor.
M: The body is light to medium with a moderate to high level of carbonation.
D: This is a nice light, refreshing beer. And that's sort of the point of a 4% pale ale. Well done, Pizza Port.
