On-tap at Pizza Port Ocean Beach
A: The beer pours a golden straw color with a finger of white head.
S: Smells like a pretty typical blonde ale. Lots of corn and some sweet grain, malt, and bread. Not really any hop aroma, maybe some floral notes. A bit of toffee and that's all, folks.
T: It's pretty sweet with the corn taking the lead again. There is a bit of bread and maybe even some actual malt flavor. A bit of lemon zest, grass, and straw from the hops is in there, too.
M: Light to medium on the palate with a moderate carbonation.
D: Pretty much what you expect from a blonde ale: meh.

Sampled 2/6/2011 at the brewpub.
Pours yellow, slightly hazy, low white head, not much in the way of lacing or retention.
Aroma is corn, more corn, some lemon, and a touch of malt.
Flavor is a very heavy on the corn and aside from a little malt, lemon, and a healthy dose of bitterness that is about all. I think I detect a splash of grassy hops but the corn is overpowering.
Body is a little too heavy and not all that drinkable.
