On tap at Pizza Port Ocean Beach in a tulip.
A: Translucent gold with a finger of white foam. Good retention and scattered lacing. Nice color.
S: Biscuit meets bread and grainy notes. Light Granny Smith apple presence. Unmistakably English in character.
T: Grainy, bready malt with prominent biscuit notes and a lower moderate sweetness. The malt profile is decidedly English. Bitterness is low and I don't pick up much hop influence in the flavor. I get a little apple in the finish.
M: Lower medium body with moderate carbonation.
Overall: A solid English Pale Ale. Nice to try, but I'll have a Skid Mark if I'm in the mood for something English when I'm here.

A: The beer pours a clear golden-amber color with a small white head and some mild lacing.
S: Smells English, that's for sure. Mild in aroma with some bread and grain notes. There might even be a bit of corn in there. Some minimal earthy and floral hop notes to round out what is a mediocre aroma.
T: The flavor relies on the bread malt flavor that dominates it. But wait...is this sour and grassy? I feel like I'm drinking a Magnolia beer all of a sudden. Very, very meh.
M: The body is light with a moderate level of carbonation.
D: The smell was just sort of middle of the road, but the flavor was just bad.
