On cask at Pizza Port Carlsbad
A: The beer pours a dark brown color from the cask with a dense, creamy, khaki colored head.
S: Starts off with a nice nuttiness from the base brown ale. There is sweet chocolate and toffee, but the coconut really comes through and shines. Some additional sweetness is provided by caramel notes.
T: Man, there is just a ton of coconut flavor to this beer. Nicely toasted and sweet and it works almost perfectly with the nutty toffee and chocolate flavors of the base beer. Just a touch of roast to balance it out.
M: The body is medium and so is the carbonation. Not quite as creamy as I was hoping.
D: Damn this was a good beer. One of the better cask variants of a beer I've had in a long time. Hopefully they do this one again.

Sampled 2/6/2011 at the brewpub.
Pours dark brown, clear, tall silky light brown head, very good lacing, decent retention.
Aroma is strong of coconut, cocoa, toffee, and vanilla.
Flavor is very pleasant and coconutty, toffee, lots of chocolate, some coffee and roast, and low bitterness.
Body is medium/heavy, and extremely drinkable.
