Sampled at the brewery last week in OB. Served in a tulip. Clear golden color with decent carbonation and thin white foam. Decent aroma with floral notes and fruity esters dominating.
The flavor has a well rounded malt sweetness and Belgian character, but lacks enough depth to really stack up. It's almost too clean for a Strong Belgian ale. Well carbonated, medium body.
I was drawn by the name, it sounded like one of their more popular brews, but I wasn't too impressed overall.

On-tap at Pizza Port Ocean Beach
A: The beer pours a pale yellow color with a dense, white head.
S: The nose is certainly very sweet. Quite a lot of malt with a bit of table sugar to it. There is a light banana and fruit aroma (apples and pears) and a very light spice note.
T: A bit more spicy than the nose leads on. Heavy on the apples, in fact, a bit of a spiced apple cider quality is there. Of course, there is still some banana as well as bready malt and a bit of table sugar.
M: The body body is medium and the carbonation is medium.
O: Having this after Spaceman was probably a bit unfair as that beer was just very good. I liked this, but it wasn't quite as well done.

On tap at Pizza Port OB for their one year anniversary. This is their official 1 year anniversary beer. Tulip.
A: Hazy yellow with a white head.
S: Smells a bit like a hefewizen. Notes of banana and traces of bubblegum. Lightly phenolic with some sweetness. It actually smells pretty damn similar to a Hefeweizen.
T: Banana, sweet bread, clove, and faint pepper notes. Some evident alcohol. Finishes with banana, bubblegum, wheat, and sweet bread.
M: Medium in body with lower moderate carbonation. Mouthfeel is sticky and smooth.
Overall: A Hefeweizen masquerading as a golden ale.
