On tap at Pizza Port Ocean Beach.
Pours a bright and light amber color with a decent white head.
Aromas are bready, sweet, and caramel like. With hints of earthy hops.
Taste is pretty malty up front. Some caramel sweetness, light bread dough, and some lightly toasted malt flavors. Finish has a bit of earthy hops, but it the finish is kind of flat, and makes me wish there was more hoppiness to conteract the sweetness.
Mouthfeel was good, fairly smooth, full bodied, and nicely carbonated.
Overall a decent amber, but I was hoping for better. This just came off as a bit too sweet and unbalanced.

A: The beer pours amber in color with an off-white head that sits about a finger high.
S: Not really what I was expecting this to smell like...sweet toffee and caramel malts all the way through with a very light hop aroma. What is there is primarily grassy. Perhaps a bit of yeast. Really just "okay" at best.
T: Not much changes on the palate. Bread and toast with a slight creaminess of caramel and toffee. Again, not all that hoppy, mostly grassy hops with a slight vegetal note and a mild pine bitterness.
M: The body is medium, though the mouthfeel is pleasantly creamy.
O: Not really what I was expecting for a beer described as "The Chronic" and advertised as being super dry hopped. Disappointing.
