$5 pint special at Solana Beach (brewed at San Clemente, spelled as “Cat”), haven’t had a Black IPA in a while so why not. Quite roasty, not nearly as hoppy as many versions of this style can be. Plenty of piney bitterness in the flavor but it pairs well with the bitter dark malt. This is nice.

Hits the schwartz hop continuum style line. Decent schwartz. Mucho roast. As lacy Black ipa its ok.On tap at PP Oceanside. Drinkable. Good change up.
