On-tap at Lost Abbey

Gold in color with a thick white head. A nice pale malt and bread aroma up front. Lots of citrus hops and citrus peel to go with the sweetness. Plenty of floral hops and a mild pine aroma as well. The flavor also has the sweet bread and toffee character as the aroma. There is also a strong flavor of citrus peel and fresh orange and grapefruit. Good floral and pine hop notes, too.

Churchill's Pub & Grille
San Marcos, CA

Hazy burnt golden orange with golden edges and a thin eggshell-colored crown. This beer leaves lines of lacing down the glass. Gorgeous.

This is a hop-forward aroma, especially for a pale ale. The citrus and floral elements battle for dominance. The citrus notes are bright and vibrant: orange and grapefruit especially, awash in aromas of fresh cut flowers and grass.

The flavor is just as good as the aroma. This is pretty bitter for a pale ale, but the citrus and floral elements are still able to shine through. This is a complete, incredibly drinkable, delicious pale ale. Incredibly well done.

Medium bodied with ample carbonation, though a bit thick and heavy.

This is certainly one of the best pale ales I've ever had.

On tap at Lost Abbey.

A: Cloudy orange with a frothy beige head.

S: Floral notes blend with grapefruit and orange flesh with lots of rind. There's a dank resinous note. The citrus is bright and expressive.

T: Upper moderate dry bitterness with a lot of orange pith. Malt is light and doesn't impart much flavor or sweetness. No alcohol is evident. There's some tangerine flesh. Bitterness increases in the finish.

M: Lower medium body with lower high carbonation.

Overall: A solid pale ale. Very bitter with a nice nose.
