predictably solid, mid level bitterness and high juiciness in this unique hop load, love the intensity of the best parts of mosaic, pineapple and lychee and lemongrass all driving the tropical vibes, and well supported by the other hops, the simcoe adds the citrus and some subtle west coast dankness, the riwaka and krush make it really modern and bright, sort of salt on meat in this context, enhancers, a little deeper than golden, maybe brass toned, a little orange to it, pretty clear from the pint can, with about an inch of big bubble white head on it slowly settling back. the nose is tropical indeed, in addition to the punchy mosaic and its cryo version doing their thing i get mango and peach, a little pale grain sweetness enhancing that too, orange as well, a quick flash of like fruity kids cereal or something, some high thiol hop character really popping in here, and the flavor is like that too, just enough grain support, this isnt all pils malt and i like the balance, keeps it beery as these hops go full fruit send, kiwi and melon, mango and peach again, mosaic pineapple and weedy notes, white wine grape, and some modest sweetness that i think is flattering. its fresh, its contemporary, and its drinkable, love the slightly lower abv than what has become the norm for ipa, this is summery but a beer id happily drink anytime. its not often enough i get to drink beer from these guys, so this was a treat. solid new school ipa with a complex hop profile that covers a lot of ground on the palate, well composed and executed.

Poured from 16oz can into my BeerAdvocate teku. Canned 2/16/26.
Appearance: medium golden hue with just a hint of haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: sweetish malt with some tropical notes, along with a bit of grapefruit peel and kind of a dry herbal character. It’s decent.
Taste: lightly toasty and sweet malt with more of those kinda herb-ey notes, almost like dry grass or sage or something. There’s a bit of maybe passionfruit here to add a little tropical character, but this isn’t quite the juicy fruit bomb I expect of a “tropical IPA”. It’s decent, but it’s not excellent.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: like I said, it’s a decent enough IPA, but not one I would likely buy again.

16 oz. Can
CANNED ON: 07/15/25
Poured into a Tree House glass a very nice slightly hazy dark yellow color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy one-finger plus off-white head, which also leaves some pretty nice creamy sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, mango, peach), pretty nice pine note. The taste is pretty nice hoppy, malty, pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, mango, peach), pretty nice pineyness. Medium body, ABV is hidden very nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, a pretty tasty beer.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy cream white head that settles to a firm layer and laces very nicely.
S: Resinous pine, grassy, slight herbal notes, citrus zest, underlying tropical and stone fruit, faint earthy woodsy hints, and biscuity malt.
T: Zesty citrus, grapefruit, lemon, lime, and tangerine, resinous pine, a bit grassy, soft underlying tropical and stone fruit, apricot, peach, blueberry, and passion fruit, plus hints of papaya and melon, slight earthy woodsy notes towards the back end, biscuity malt, and a fairly dry finish.
M: A touch on the lighter side of medium body, moderate carbonation, crisp.
O: Crisp and crushable for a summer beach day. I wish the fruity side came through just a little stronger though. I really had to wait for it to warm up to get the full experience and it still left me wanting just a bit more.

Crystal clear golden amber beer with long-lasting foam in the Duvel nonic. Aroma is bold with peach and apricot. Flavors of mild citrus with grilled peaches, that dark and slightly sweet taste. Rather bitter and resiny aftertaste, but within the bounds of reason. then it fades away and starts again with the next sip-- some sweetness and malty taste with hops following and a spritzy tang on the tongue. Overall this is an interesting hoppy brew that is quite drinkable. From the 16 oz can dated 05/06/25 and brewed at Carlsbad.

16oz can. Bottom stamp is 'CANNED ON 05/08/25', about six weeks in the can.
Clear, pale gold colored body. Two fingers of white head with the initial pour, and this foam takes a considerable time to settle. Leaves a lattice work of foam on the glass.
Aroma is quite faint, with a toasted malt base and tropical fruit smells.
Taste is coastal West Coast IPA. Fruity flavors of grapefruit, papaya, honey, green melon, hints of berry and stone fruit. Solid sweet toasted malt base. Pine from hops. Bitterness is present but not extreme. Aftertaste is lingering.
More than medium mouthfeel. Slightly sticky, with a drying finish. Excellent carbonation.
West Coast IPA in basic theme, but more tropical fruits and not so bitter. On the beach.

Pint at Solana Beach. Decided on a pint of this new release and a 6-pack of tall cans for their latest seasonal, Summer Visit. As advertised, heavily hopped to skew towards the tropical fruit flavors. Tastes like fruit or other additives were involved but it’s actually just a clever hop bill without being overly sweet. Tasty bitter finish and seriously drinkable. Another homerun from PP.
