A- Very deep brown hue, with deep ruby red edges. Little head retention; looks great. Nice color.
S- Sweet brandy, vanilla bourbon come to mind. Little toasted wood with a hint of hops on the back end. Very complex and balanced.
T- Brandy sweetness, followed by a bourbon barrel characteristics, then slightly bitter with a clean finish. Chocolate and toffee are the main flavors.
M- med to heavy body with a nice finish. Almost no residual flavors at all.
O- Awesome blend of beers. Happy 15th Anniversary Port Carlsbad.
