Brewbies Festival 2012
Dark pink, almost magenta, with an almost purple hue, and a frothy, thick light pink head that leaves the glass just completely messy with sticky lines and spiderwebs of lace.
A very hoppy aroma, but it leans further to the earthy and piney side of the spectrum as opposed to the bright, citrusy side that Port's IPAs usually do.
A hoppy IPA, with lots of pine and resin presence along with earthy hops and a bit of bready malt characteristic. Well balanced and very tasty.
Medium bodied with ample carbonation.
A very drinkable, unique, and certainly pink, IPA.

On tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad. Pint.
A: The color is amazing. They used beets to derive the rich pink color and the result is nothing short of stunning. The light pink head is frothy, forming 2 fingers of dense foam. Lacing is everywhere. Couldn't look better.
S: Dank and resinous with restrained floral notes. It's also sort of herbal and weedy. Citrus plays second fiddle, and malt doesn't make an appearance.
T: Crisp and light on the palate, the flavor is bursting with pine resin and to a lesser extent citrus. Grapefruit blends with orange pith. Malt is but a suggestion. Alcohol is not apparent in the flavor
M: Very low medium body with high carbonation. The mouthfeel is sticky and dry.
Overall: A good IPA for a good cause. Not quite as good as Hakunama Ta Tas but still crushable.
