A - Dark, muddy, a bit chunky, suspended particle matter, good tan head leaves fast.
S - Cocoa, coffee, small pepper bite.
T - YUM. Big sweet malty front, then pepper smack down that hits the back of your throat.
M - Med to heavy body, light carb and pretty good balance with the malt and pepper.
D - LOVE this beer!

On cask at Carlsbad
The pour is flat and black in color. A nice earthy chili pepper aroma with only a minimal spiciness. Decent chocolate notes as well as the roasted malt and coffee smells. The flavor features the chipotles a bit more than the nose. Only moderately spicy, but good earthy notes. Coffee, dark chocolate, and roasted malt are also well represented. There's even a hint of fruitiness in the background. Really full bodied, too.
