Cask at Pizza Port Carlsbad
Pours nearly black in color with minimal tan foam. A decent mint aroma, not quite as much as I would have assumed, but it is there. Lots of chocolate with a solid roasted malt and coffee aroma. A hint of vanilla in there as well. The mint is significantly more announced on the palate, which is nice. Good chocolate and coffee with some roasted malt flavors. Slight vanilla notes along with some cocoa powder. Very good, just like all the variations.

Dark brown in color with a large, airy brown head that leaves thick sheets of lacing down the glass.
A faraway, faint aroma, though what is accessible is nice. There's bits of chocolate, roast, and a bit of mint. Disappointing, though not at all flawed.
The flavor is quite nice, and tastes a lot like mint-chocolate chip ice cream, along with some roast, and a moderate level of bitterness. Only the slightest alcohol presence, which creates a pleasant warming sensation along with the distinct mint/chocolate/roast flavors.
Medium bodied with low to moderate carbonation.
I think they achieved exactly what they were going for with this. Kudos to Pizza Port (again).
